“My own way” was made during a 2 week workshop in Taicang, China. This workshop was done as collaboration between Industrial Design students of the TU/e and students of the School of Digital Media from Jiangnan University. The goal was to create an “Interactive Patina of Culture” and to create a prototype/model of it. The end result were stairs on which people could walk, leaving a digital stroke of ink behind which fades over time, but fades slower were multiple strokes overlap. Thus over time creating an “artwork” which shows how people walk on the stairs.
