The goal of the one week course Biotopia was to create a single actor in a biotope of devices which react to their environment using very simple rules and experiment how these interact with each other. During the course my group made the lamp “Hyperion”. This lamp was intended to be at the top of the biotope by excreting its dominance over other light sources by reacting to both light and sound around him and attempting to outshine other sources.
